George Chin
Chairman of the Board

After a short successful military career, George joined Wormald, later to become Chubb in 1979. He has held various senior positions including Managing Director of Chubb Protective Services Australia and New Zealand and President of Chubb Asia based in Hong Kong. He was appointed as Chairman of the Australian Board of SIS SPV Pty Limited and MSS Security Pty Ltd in August 2008. George was awarded the Australian Order of Medal (OAM) for leadership in setting National Training Standards for the Australian Security Industry and for Industry leadership.

Mike McKinnon
Managing Director

Mike has been involved in the security industry for over 20 years and was appointed to the Board of ASIAL (Australian Security Industry Association Ltd) in mid 2010. Prior to joining MSS Security, Mike was the General Manager, Contracted Security Services Unit at Qantas. As a major user of security services, this role gave Mike an in-depth understanding of the security function from a client's perspective. Mike also has a wealth of knowledge and experience in security electronic wholesaling, safe manufacturing and distribution, alarm monitoring and electronic solutions. Mike's unique experience has given him unparalleled insight into all aspects of the security industry.

Don Burnett
Finance Director

Don is a Chartered Accountant in Australia and a Certified Public Accountant in the USA. He is responsible for the financial and commercial function at MSS Security, ensuring the company's long-term financial stability and ability to continue to provide clients with best practice service. Don commenced his career at Price Waterhouse and has held senior positions at Henry Walker Eltin and Greater Union Cinemas. He has a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Nick Samios
Executive General Manager, Qld and Strategic Medical and Rescue

Nick has 15 years experience in the security industry, and previous experience with the Queensland Police Service and the Australian Federal Police. He has a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of critical infrastructure and high profile sites, effectively mitigating risk through in-depth assessments and critical response. Nick is currently completing a Master of Business Administration and has a Diploma of Government (Security).

Geoff Alcock
Executive General Manager, NSW

Matthew Burleigh
General Manager, Aviation

Before becoming General Manager of MSS Security's Aviation team, Matthew managed our South Australian and Northern Territory teams for eight years, which included responsibility for the Adelaide Airport contract. Matthew has more than 20 years' experience in the security and facilities management fields. He has a strong focus on managing client expectations and delivering high-quality outcomes through team leadership and strategic contact. Matthew has participated in extensive training in risk management, equal employment opportunity and hazard management.

Harrie Veerman
General Manager, VIC/TAS

Harrie manages both our Victorian and Tasmanian teams and has extensive experience in leading, developing, training and coaching teams to peak performance. Harrie holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) and over 10 years in the facilities management arena. His work history includes the role of General Manager at ISS Facilities Services (Netherlands) and General Manager VIC/TAS, ISS Facility Services (Australia). Other more recent roles include Managing Director for Twin Oxide and Duka Production Ltd. Harrie has a strong focus on managing client expectations as well as delivering a high quality service.

Jamie Adams
General Manager, SA/NT

Jamie joined MSS Security as our State Manager Northern Territory in 2004, after 15 years in retail management and the financial services sectors. Since that time he has successfully worked in a variety of roles before being made General Manager SA/NT in 2016. In 2010 he became State Manager Operational Performance in NSW, before relocating to our Queensland office in 2012. Building on his previous experience and management exposure within MSS Security nationally, Jamie reinvigorated the south-east Queensland's security guarding business and fostered significant relationships in the health, tertiary education and defence industries, which saw him promoted to General Manager South East Queensland & Defence in 2015. Jamie's approach to business is to focus on operational and service delivery excellence, and the empowerment of employees, as the way to foster business growth.

David Cheatham
General Manager, ACT

David has five years experience in the security industry and over twenty years experience in the NSW Police Force. He is responsible for managing many high profile government contracts, and has extensive knowledge of federal government and critical infrastructure security requirements. He has assessed, analysed and written over 500 high-risk site assessments, and compiled a 125 page training manual in the lawful, appropriate and correct use of firearms. David has diplomas in Security and Risk Management, Training and Assessing and Business Management.

Paul Price
General Manager, WA

General Manager, WA Paul has over 18 year's management experience in the security, cleaning and transport industry. He has proven leadership abilities and a high customer service ethic. Having previously worked for Chubb Protective Services from 1995 to 2004, Paul understands the industry requirements and is well qualified to make a substantial impact to our business. Since then Paul has been in senior leadership roles with Murray Logistics and the Spotless Group of companies.

Greig Francis
General Manager, Client Services

Greig is responsible for service delivery excellence and continuous improvement to our valued clients nationally, in collaboration with our State General and State Executive General Managers.

A passion for customer engagement, proactive approach and prompt follow-up means that Greig provides our clients with high levels of personal attention and responsiveness.

He has some 10 years' experience in the security industry, and has previously been responsible for managing commercial operations for organisations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia-Pacific and North America.

Greig has a Diploma in Marketing, an Associate Diploma in Accounting, and a Diploma in Security and Risk Management.

Janine Hill
General Manager, Business Development Janine's passion encompasses over 15 years of experience in the security industry. Having worked in Western Australia and Victoria for a local family business as well as two large corporations in both operational delivery and client management roles, Janine brings a wealth of company, client and employee knowledge to our business. Janine has been with MSS Security since 2012 and her current focus is new business growth. This is achieved through the identification of customers seeking a genuine security partner to support their long term business objectives whilst delivering service excellence and improved performance, consistently across all locations. Janine is an ambassador for MSS Security's Workplace Giving Program as well being the Victorian state convener for ASIAL. Janine holds a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management.
Margaret Stinson
General Manager, People & Culture

Margaret has been with MSS Security since 2008 and before taking over leadership of the People and Culture Team was the HR/IR Manager for Queensland, and National Training Manager

She is experienced in a wide variety of human resources functions, particularly as they relate to organisations with large workforces. These range from day-to-day problem solving, through to the review and transformation of processes within the company, the design of training programs, and matters relating to industrial relations including but not limited to the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements and representation of matters before a variety of jurisdictions.

Andrew Kinton
General Counsel

Andrew is responsible for managing the MSS Security legal team to deliver legal services and support to our business nationally. Before joining MSS Security Andrew worked as a corporate lawyer with multinational companies supporting business units in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to being admitted as a Solicitor in New South Wales, Andrew completed a long career as an officer in the Australian Army serving in Australia and overseas.

Kevin McDonald
General Manager, Business Improvement

Kevin is a long term Director of ASIAL, currently holding the position of President. Prior to joining MSS Security, Kevin has worked in senior leadership and business improvement roles for security companies including ADT and Signature Security. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organisation and is responsible for managing and facilitating all national projects and initiatives to ensure the highest quality outcomes for clients by the most cost effective means. Kevin's role provides the necessary support to ensure the continued development of company initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.

Nick Prass
General Manager MSS Strategic Medical and Rescue

Nick has 25 years' experience as a career clinician and senior health and emergency services manager in the clinical, governance, operations, management, academic and industrial disciplines, in Australia and overseas.

A director of Strategic Medical when it was bought by MSS Security in 2011, Nick now leads a national team of high-quality, client-focused business and operations managers, and discipline specialists who deliver multi-disciplinary medical, emergency response, fire rescue and security services to the private health, industrial, natural resources and government sectors.

An active Fellow of Paramedics Australasia, Nick has vocational, graduate and postgraduate qualifications in the clinical, business, WH&S, education and research areas. He is also completing a professional doctorate.
